DECHU OMNIPOXY

It is particularly suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, hospitals, laboratories, food and beverage industries, dairy industries, swimming pools, showrooms, airports, and high-traffic areas.

DECHU OMNIPOXY provides excellent chemical resistance and is available in 24 colors. It can be used both as a high-performance grout mortar and as an adhesive.

Usage Guide

Application

DECHU OMNIPOXY consists of two components supplied together in one container.

• Component A: Epoxy resin, mineral aggregates, and additives

• Component B: Mixture of organic catalysts

The two components are pre-batched in their respective containers.

Mixing Ratio

• Component A: 93 parts by weight

• Component B: 7 parts by weight

The two components are supplied pre-batched in their respective packaging.

Mixing

• Add the hardener (Component B) contained in the plastic bottle to the resin (Component A).
• Mix using a low-speed electric drill and stirrer at approximately 400 rpm until the mixture is completely homogeneous and free of lumps.
• Scrape the sides and bottom of the container using a steel spatula to ensure that the entire paste is thoroughly mixed and catalyzed.
• Partial hand mixing can also be performed when required. Both components are pre-batched in their respective packaging.

Installation of Tiles

• DECHU OMNIPOXY is applied using the thin-bed method.
• The notch size of the trowel should be selected according to the respective tile format and in accordance with applicable local standards and norms.
• The working time, which is also the approximate correction time, is 45 minutes at a room and container temperature of +23°C.

Grouting

• Apply the thoroughly mixed compound into clean and dry joints using an appropriate epoxy grout float.
• Ensure that all joints are completely filled and free from voids.
• After application, remove excess material by skimming it diagonally across the tile surface using the grout float.
• For large surfaces, an electric single-brush floor maintenance machine equipped with an abrasion-resistant rubber scraper may be used.

Cleaning & Finishing

• Cleaning and finishing should be carried out while the grout is still wet and, in any case, as soon as possible after application.
• Care should be taken to avoid removing material from the joints or leaving residue and stains on the tile or stone surface.
• Cleaning and finishing can be performed manually or with an electric single-brush machine equipped with a suitable felt disc.
• For best results, ensure that the finished surface is thoroughly cleaned while the epoxy material is still workable.
